Email addresses
A verified domain lets you create addresses on it. Each one is an address your CRM can send from and, if you enabled receiving, collect replies at.
What you get without a domain
Every account includes a shared sending address on a Virtisphere domain. It works immediately and needs no setup. Use it to try things out, and move to your own domain before you write to customers — a shared address is fine for a test and wrong for a quote.
Adding an address
- Verify your domain first. See Add your domain.
- Go to Email addresses in your CRM.
- Under Addresses, add the address you want, for example
hello@yourcompany.com. - Give it a display name — this is what recipients see beside the address.
- Send yourself a test message and confirm it arrives in the inbox, not the spam folder.
Choosing addresses
- Use a role address such as
hello@orsupport@for anything customers reply to. Personal addresses leave with the person. - Match the address to what it is for. Mail from
invoices@about an invoice looks legitimate in a way that mail fromnoreply@does not. - Avoid
noreply@where a reply would be useful. It trains customers that writing back is pointless.
If mail is going to spam
- Check every required DNS record still verifies. A record edited for another purpose is a common cause.
- Confirm you have only one SPF record.
- Check you are not sending to addresses that bounce — repeated bounces damage a domain’s reputation quickly.
- Add DMARC at
p=noneand read the reports. They usually name the problem.
If it still fails after that, raise a ticket from your dashboard and we will look at the delivery logs with you.
